Evaluation Educational Programs on Students’ Responsibility

Abstract: Responsibility – the base of full activity of the person in modern society. At this conjuncture the solution of this problem demands a support on application of the educational programs providing formation of abilities, skills and the relations necessary for understanding and an assessment of own health, motivating on a healthy lifestyle, acceptance of its values and promoting development of adequate behavior of the healthy personality. Realization of this task demands the accounting of potential of the program which possesses the specific potential of familiarizing of children and studying youth to norms and healthy lifestyle values.

Strength Characteristics of Lateritic Soils Stabilized with Locally Manufactured and Imported Hydrated Lime

Abstract: - This research evaluates the use of locally prepared lime to commercial (Imported) lime in stabilization of lateritic soil. limestone samples were collected from Three geographical location which are Ewekoro, Ogun state, Okpella, Edo state and Obajana, Kogi state of Nigeria. Lateritic soil was collected and subsequently stabilized with 3% and 6% of the various hydrated limes. The natural lateritic soil sample was subjected to preliminary tests (Natural moisture content, Specific gravity, Particle size analysis and atterberg’s limits), the result of the preliminary test classify the soil into an A-6 lateritic soil. Thereafter, the A-6 lateritic soil was stabilized with the locally prepared hydrated limes as well as a commercial (Imported) lime and the results of unconfined compression, CBR and optimum dry density compared. The locally prepared limes are not inferior to the imported lime as shown in the results of this research.

Performance Characteristics Of Some Nigerian Problem Soils Stabilized With Ionic Stabilizer

Abstract: This work involves stabilization of some Nigerian problem soils with Ionic stabilizer for strength improvement. The work was carried out by collection of soil samples from six locations within Nigeria. The natural geotechnical properties of the collected samples were determined in the laboratory after which they were mixed with the soil materials and their response monitored by testing. The test carried out on both the natural and treated samples are classification which includes Atterberg limits, particle size distribution; and strength characteristics through compaction and California Bearing ratio determination. The soil materials tested are classified as A-2-6, A-3 and A-7-6 with natural California Bearing Ratio (CBR) values ranging from 7.7% to 32.5%, indicating weak subgrade to fair subbase materials. All the soil materials were naturally unsuitable for road bases. On stabilization, the plasticity indices of the soils were reduced considerably with remarkable improvement on compaction and strength characteristics. The CBR values increased from between 23.8% - 87%, giving a percentage increase by up to 325%. The unsuitable materials were thus improved to suitable base materials.

Abstract: Scientists focus that only 59% of Moon surface can be seen from the earth all the time because of synchronizing time of moon as it orbits itself as well as earth and the balance 41% of moon surface can not be seen at all. In 1959 Soviet Union claimed about data about rear side of moon and America also claimed seen the rear side through space vehicle Apollo-8. Now China is also programming to land on rear side of moon by 2018. It is focused that the pre-historic “Tamil Based Indian” who are expert in Astronomy, Astro-physics have already established about the configuration of relative position “SUN, EARTH, MOON” and it is pattern of rotation on its axis. It is focused that “MOON” never orbits “EARTH”. But it rotates only on its axis and all four sides of Moon consider being seen from the Earth.

Abstract: Cancer is the general name for a group of more than 100 diseases. Although there are many kinds of cancer, all cancers start because abnormal cells grow out of control. Untreated cancers can cause serious illness and death. The body is made up of trillions of living cells. Normal body cells grow, divide, and die in an orderly fashion. During the early years of a person’s life, normal cells divide faster to allow the person to grow. After the person becomes an adult, most cells divide only to replace worn-out or dying cells or to repair injuries. This article introduces recent research reports as references in the cancer and smoke related studies.
