Abstract: The aim of this paper is to design and fabricate a detergent mixing machine that will be easy and economical to maintain, and cost effective. Mild steel is used in fabrication of the bowl mixer (pan), frame, spaddle and shaft. The machine is to ensure even mixture of detergent constituents during operation and a smooth discharge of the detergent at the base. The performance evaluation of the mixing machine was carried out using detergent and liquid ingredients/constituents. Various volumes of samples containing detergent and liquid ingredients were first prepared and were ensured that the same quantities of each of the samples were mixed by the mixing machine and the conventional mixer (manually operated). The results obtained for mixing machine were compared with the performance of the conventional mixer under the same conditions. The efficiency of the mixing machine was found to be 80.7%. This study shows that where mixing of detergent and liquid soap is involved, the conventional mixer takes longer time of operation and consume more man power whilst the mixing machine yield at a shorter time of operation and at a reduce cost.

Abstract: Significant changes are taking place in the information environment as a result of the impact of changing information and communication technologies in a wireless, mobile and cloudy world. The advancement in technologies has brought a radical change in the world of information which has given rise to the proliferation of information providers such as, Internet and websites providers, telecommunication (telephone) operators, e-journals and e-books providers, online vendors e.g. ebscohost, jstor, myilibrary, special and private information centers, archives and documentation centers to mention but a few. This paper focuses on the marketing of academic libraries services in the 21st century. The paper will describe the concept of marketing and its importance to libraries in the information age. It will discuss issues centered on library customers such as, relevance of customers to libraries, customers’ expectations, customers’ satisfaction, ideal relationships between customer and staff, service quality and professional competencies. The challenges and benefits of the application of marketing strategies and techniques in academic libraries will be considered in the paper. Conclusion will be drawn and recommendations will be given.

1+2 is Indeed not 1+1, the Mathematician Never Attempted to Prove 1+1 by Proof 1+2

Abstract: From the concepts of philosophy, logic, and the elimination of k-almost prime, it is impossible to prove "1+1" from "9+9" to "1+2". Some experts said: "Mathematicians have never attempted to prove (1 + 1) by proof (1 + 2) when studying the Goldbach conjecture." Therefore, we cannot eliminate the k-almost prime (N-p). (k > 2.) We should be eliminated the p of p ≡ N (mod pi).

Abstract: This study examined the corporate social responsibility (CSR) and research support in tertiary education in Imo State, Nigeria. To guide the study, descriptive survey design was adopted. Two research questions and two null hypotheses guided this study. The population of the study comprised all the 5 tertiary educational institutions in Imo State. A sample size of 325 academic staff and 445 administrative staff were drawn using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments used to elicit information from the respondents were document analysis and twenty-four itemed questionnaire titled “Corporate Social Responsibility on Research Inventory Questionnaire” (CSRORIQ). The reliability of the questionnaire was determined through test re-test method which gave a reliability coefficient value of 0.76. Mean Scores, Standard Deviation and Rank Order Scores were the statistical tools used to answer the research questions while z-test was used to test the null hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed among others the areas which corporate organizations could contribute to research support in tertiary education include provision of; funds, materials and resource persons. The findings also revealed that the extent to which corporate organizations contribute to research support through provision of funds, materials and resource persons in tertiary educational institutions in Imo State is very low. It was recommended among others that corporate organizations should be contributing to research support in tertiary educational institutions so as to contribute to the development of the society where they are operating.

Adult Stem Cell Research Literatures

Abstract: Stem cells are derived from embryonic and non-embryonic tissues. Most stem cell studies are for animal stem cells and plants have also stem cell. Stem cells were discovered in 1981 from early mouse embryos. Stem cells have the potential to develop into all different cell types in the living body. Stem cell is a body repair system. When a stem cell divides it can be still a stem cell or become adult cell, such as a brain cell. Stem cells are unspecialized cells and can renew themselves by cell division, and stem cells can also differentiate to adult cells with special functions. Stem cells replace the old cells and repair the damaged tissues. Embryonic stem cells can become all cell types of the body because they are pluripotent. Adult stem cells are thought to be limited to differentiating into different cell types of their tissue of origin. This article introduces recent research reports as references in the related studies.
