Abstract: Introduction: Hypertension is associated with high morbidity that affects the quality of life ranging from complication from the disease itself or its treatment. The high burden of the disease imposed a load on health care professional to identify risk factors associated with patients’ low quality of life and addresses them through different awareness campaigns. Objective This study was set out to assess the quality of life among elderly hypertensive Saudi female patients. And also to assess the risk factors for low quality of life. Methods A cross sectional study was conducted on patients from primary healthcare centers in Al-Madinah Al-Munawra. The study included female patients aged more than 18 years old and excluded any patients with disease caused hypertension e.g. malignancy or pregnancy. WHO-QOLBREF was used to assess the quality of life among the studied group. Results The study included 402 patients with average age of 52.49±. The patients had moderately high quality of life and achieved high median scores in the four domains. The highest scores were achieved in the social domain while the lowest scores were achieved in physical domains. We found that old age, diabetics, patients with kidney and heart dis-eases, and non-compliant patients had significantly lower scores in all domains. Multivariate regression analysis found that each domain had its associated risk factors for low scores Conclusion Elderly female hypertensive patients in Saudi Arabia have moderately high scores in all domains of WHOQOL-BREF. Compliance to treatment and treatment of associated comorbidities were associated with better scores throughout all domains.

Abstract: The study investigated the influence of condition of maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea (GoG) on ship calls in Nigeria ports. It employed secondary data on the ship call statistics in Nigeria ports and the frequency of pirate attacks against ships in the Nigerian waters of the GoG. The secondary data was obtained from the Nigeria ports authority (NPA) and the International Maritime Bureau (IMB). The data covers a 19 years period between year 2000 and 2018.  Simple regression analysis was used to analyze the data using the ship calls as the independent variable and pirate attacks against ships as a proxy for maritime security conditions in the GoG as independent condition.   It was found that a unit increase in attacks against ships in the region decreases ship calls to the port in by Nigeria 1.431 units. The model showing the relations between ship calls in Nigeria ports and maritime security condition in the GoG region is:  VEScal  =  4666.851 -1.437MRTsecurity + e. The policy implications of the findings for maritime security and governance were discussed.

Abstract: According to the performed studies, one of the barriers of productivity in which many companies are involved is assembly line balance problem of which solution requires application of scientific techniques.  In Iran, one of the major reasons for failure to use the industrial units capacities is lack of balance between production and assembly lines.  Since one of the considerable problems for the production employees is production lines balance, main purpose of this research is to introduce scientific techniques and application of suitable methods for balancing assembly lines which will be performed by introducing and presenting a developed heuristic algorithm for two -sided assembly lines balance with regard to tasks symmetry constraint. The above developed algorithm will consider two major goals; first goal : presentation of a heuristic technique for balancing two-sided assembly lines and  comparing its efficiency with optimal answers obtained from accurate methods, second goal: relative comparison of efficiency of three techniques of the most efficient Max T،Max FوMax PW priority laws

ABSTRACT: In recent years, it has become widely accepted that optimal supply chain strategy depends on the nature of product. Extant research also suggests that supply chain strategies must be matched with product characteristics in order for firms to achieve better performance. The main tools of data collection instrument used was a questionnaire which was distributed to a total sample of 58 semi to senior managers are classified by job functions are corporate executive, purchasing, manufacturing /production, distribution/logistic, planning department of 4 Iranians manufacturing firms. Sample selection was based on convenience sampling. The analyses involved statistical methods such as reliability and validity tests and One-Sample t-Test.The finding showed that supply chain strategies have a significant relationship with product nature statically. For functional products, where demand is predictable and stable over time, a lean supply chain is suitable, while for hybrid products a leagile supply chain is more appropriate. In addition, present a native conceptual model to the case company’s that shows the relationships clearly.

ABSTRACT: An efficient and environmentally benign route for the synthesis of 3-Substituted-3-hydroxyindolin-2-ones 3a-f from an appropriate acetophenone derivatives 2a-f and isatin 1. Formation of 3 could be explained via aldol condensation reaction, the reaction occur at room temperature giving excellent yields and purity.

Abstract: The article analyzes the changes in the average air temperature and relative humidity during the growing season of winter wheat planted in different parts of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the impact on plant growth during the sowing and harvesting phase. In autumn, the increase in relative humidity is polynomial, and the average temperature is reduced. The effect of air humidity on plant growth was determined between sowing- 3 leaf period, sprout-3-leaf period, 3-leaf period-gathering period in the Republic of Karakalpakistan, Samarkand and Fergana regions.

Abstract: - The study was undertaken to study the level modernization and academic achievement of male and female college students of district Srinagar (j &k). The sample of the study consisted of 60 college students (30 male students and 30 female students) randomly selected from different colleges of district Srinagar. R. S. Singh’s modernization scale was used for measuring the level of modernization of college students. The scale is based on four components viz socio- religious, marriage, position of woman and education. Academic achievement of college students were taken as the aggregate marks of previous two classes. The data collected was statistically treated by using mean, S.D. and t. test. The findings of the study revealed that there is no significant difference between male and female college students on modernization. Furthermore the results highlight that female students have better academic achievement as compared to male students.
