Abstract:
This paper proposes a self-inducing interactive animation
technology based on one's name and birth date numerology to
increase school counseling quality.
The
proposed technology contains three main subjects including
analyzing one's name and birth date, creating the inducing
cards, and constructing the interactive user interfaces. An
individual’s name and birth date are used to analyze his/her
inherent personal features which are interpreted into different
five-element characteristics, named Gold, Wood, Water, Fire and
Soil. This study also utilizes 52 inducing cards as the referred
materials in designing animation scenes. In addition, the
interactive user interfaces are built by using Visual Basic
programming codes and Unity game-based development tool.
According to the experimental results, the proposed technology
can help the counseling personnel to be students' triggers,
inducers and motivators instead of
educators
and commentators.
Conclusively, this study
can inspire
students'
thinking, expression and interactive
capabilities as well as
help
students to understand their self-consciousness and make own
choice after clarifying their thoughts.

Analysis of
Factors Affecting E-Commerce Potential of any Country Using
Multiple Regression

ABSTRACT:
The advancement
of Information Technology and Telecommunication has opened new
avenues for business. These astonishing developments have led to
rapid diffusion of E-Commerce which is gaining popularity around
the globe. However, it is interesting to investigate those
national factors which can affect the growth of E-Commerce in a
country. For this purpose, a study using secondary data was
carried out to find out such factors. E-Commerce Potential was
selected as Dependent Variable and its score was taken from
UNCTAD B2C E-commerce Index value. On the other hand, several
country related variables such as Readiness Sub-Index of
Networked Readiness Index, Trade Logistics, Mobile Cellular
Subscriptions per 100 people, Use of Virtual Social Network,
Urbanization, Gross National Income per Capita, Business
Prospects and Cyber Security were taken as Independent
Variables. Data of 145 countries on aforementioned variables for
year 2014 was obtained from different sources such as World Bank
Data, Global Information Technology Report, and Human
Development Report etc. Nine different Multiple Regression
Models were generated by combination of different factors in
order to analysis the effect of these factors on growth of
e-commerce. It was found that the sensitivity of the E-Commerce
potential was highest for GNI per Capita and Readiness Sub-Index
respectively proving the importance of national earning,
infrastructure of ITC and its affordability as well as education
and skill level of people in the growth of e-commerce in that
country. However, Cyber Security and Business Prospects were
found to be statistically insignificant in few of the models.

Abstract:
This paper presents a procedure for assessing safety and labor
productivity using a computer-aided analysis system. The
software system for safety and productivity, named SAPR, was
developed based on labor working time, hazard analysis, and
factors affecting productivity. The developed software consists
of three major models - hazard identification, occupational
illnesses, and labor productivity - connected through correlated
linkage technique which is coded using Microsoft Access and
Visual C#. In order to verify the integrated model, SAPR went
through several tests and user evaluations for the various
parameters depending on the type of industry. The software was
then validated by data collected from the cement industry. The
novelty of SAPR is that it can be used to assess the various
workplace hazards and simultaneously measure labor productivity
while providing information on injuries and occupational
illnesses. This computer-aided approach provides a comprehensive
analysis of workplaces depending on the type of industry.

Abstract:
An overview of
fundamentals and methods leading to light velocity control and
its applications is provided. These methods allow one to create
situations in which the group velocity of light is much smaller
than the velocity of light in vacuum c, in which the
group velocity is greater than c, or in which the group
velocity is negative. In a nutshell, various quantum
interactions between light and matter lead to both high
dispersion and transparency in some media. When this is
achieved, light pulses passing through the medium can thus be
slowed down dramatically, without being absorbed. We present a
survey of methods for establishing extreme values of the group
velocity, concentrating especially on methods that work in
room-temperature solids. Some applications of slow light in
telecommunications and computing are discussed.
